Orly Garcia is the National Retail Sales Director at Amerant Mortgage. He manages all the growing aspects of our Retail Mortgage Division. Orly has been in the mortgage industry for 24 years. Through the years, he held various roles from entry-level loan officer to running billion-dollar retail mortgage sales teams at various organizations. A Miami native, Orly attended Florida International University. He held multiple board of directors’ roles with various organizations throughout his career, including Mortgage Bankers Association, NAHREP, as well as other not-for-profit board seats. In his spare time, Orly enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Olga, children Diana and Danny, and their respective partners. He is a huge Miami Dolphins fan and an avid weather enthusiast who loves tracking hurricanes. He gathers his inspiration from the quotes “Work hard, play hard” and “You only get one shot at this thing called life so enjoy it.”. He believes in having a work/life balance, “if you can juggle both effectively you will be rewarded in both,” says Orly. “Building a team that will be the envy of our industry is what drives me. Having the blessing to work for a start-up and to help build the foundation of something very special. Also proving that you can leave a very good situation and make a change on something unknown and still strive.”
